Fair Trading & Consumer Transparency Policy
Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 – Unfair Commercial Practices (Section 228)
At RSV Emergency Plumbers, we are committed to conducting business with honesty, transparency, and professional care. We aim to meet the standards of professional diligence expected within our industry and to treat all customers fairly and in good faith.
To support this commitment:
• We aim to provide clear and accurate information regarding our services, pricing, availability, call-out arrangements, and expected timescales.
• We do not intentionally provide misleading information, omit material details, or use practices designed to pressure customers into decisions they would not otherwise make.
• Quotations and estimates are provided based on the information available at the time and may change where additional faults, access issues, or unforeseen circumstances become apparent during attendance or works.
• Where changes to pricing or scope of work become necessary, we aim to explain these clearly before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.
• Emergency plumbing situations can involve urgent circumstances and hidden issues that are not always identifiable before inspection; therefore, initial assessments and estimated costs should not be interpreted as guarantees until works are fully assessed on site.
• We strive to communicate honestly and exercise reasonable skill, care, and diligence in all interactions with customers.
• If a customer believes information provided was unclear or has concerns regarding our service, we encourage them to contact us so that we can seek to resolve the matter promptly and fairly.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any statutory rights available to consumers under applicable law.
