Consumer Protection & Fair Trading Commitment
Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
RSV Emergency Plumbers is committed to fair, transparent, and responsible trading practices and aims to conduct all business dealings with honesty, reasonable care, and professional diligence.
In line with consumer protection principles, we seek to ensure that:
• Information relating to our services, pricing, call-out arrangements, repair options, and expected timescales is presented as clearly and accurately as reasonably possible.
• We do not knowingly provide misleading information or omit material information that may affect a customer’s decision-making.
• We do not use aggressive, coercive, or unfair sales practices intended to pressure customers into accepting services or making decisions they would not otherwise make.
• Recommendations and assessments are based on the information available at the time of inspection and may change if further faults, safety concerns, hidden defects, or access issues are identified during works.
• Estimates and quotations are provided in good faith and may require revision where circumstances materially differ from the initial information supplied.
• Customers are encouraged to ask questions before authorising works and may request clarification regarding pricing, scope of work, or available options.
Emergency plumbing situations can involve urgent circumstances and hidden defects that are not always immediately identifiable. While RSV Emergency Plumbers will exercise reasonable care and skill in all communications and assessments, customers acknowledge that final diagnosis, pricing, and recommended works may depend on an in-person inspection.
Nothing within this policy excludes, limits, or affects any statutory consumer rights under applicable law.
